Local Fun Things To Do 2016

September 30-October 2

What are you planning to do with family and friends in the San Rafael neighborhoods of Marinwood & Lucas Valley this weekend; September 30-October 2? Why don’t you have a look at the local fun things I’ve found for you to do this weekend?

Friday All Day; Sleep Train’s Shoe Drive for Foster Kids
Sleep Train Novato

Sleep Train’s Shoe Drive for Foster Kids

When you were a kid, didn’t you just have all kinds of confidence wearing your new shoes as you walked down the halls of school?  Well, here’s a great way to give that awesome feeling to a child a little less fortunate than yourself.  You can achieve this by donating new shoes to Sleep Train’s Shoe Drive for Foster Kids. Not only will the foster kids benefit from your donation, but their foster family will benefit as well.  It’s just one less thing to worry about as they welcome these children into their home.  Often these kids get to their new foster home with no more than the clothes on their back.   The shoe drive starts Saturday and continues daily throughout the month of October.  Visit www.sleeptrainfosterkids.org for further information.

Saturday Noon-5pm; Brewfest
Marinwood Park

This Saturday is a special day for all the beer connoisseurs out there.  That’s because Brewfest is coming to Marinwood Park.  You will be able to taste beer from more than 10 local breweries.  There will also be live music and plenty of food to go with your favorite libation.  Click here to purchase your tickets and get further details about this great event.

Saturday 11am-6pm; 4th Annual Creole United Festival
