PRESS RELEASE
FROM THE MARIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

ROBERT T. DOYLE, SHERIFF
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DATE: May 9, 2011

Released By: Lt. Barry Heying bheying@marinsheriff.org

On Monday, May 2, 2011 deputies responded to the 2400 block of Queenstone Drive in Marinwood for the report of a burglar alarm sounding and two men running from a residence.

Deputies arrived and contacted a neighbor who reported that he saw two black male subjects in their early twenties run from a residence with an alarm sounding and drive away in a newer silver Honda or Nissan sedan. The car had been parked in front of 512 Miller Creek Rd with a driver waiting inside.

Deputies checked the house with the alarm sounding and they found a broken rear window and a sliding door that had been forced open. The homeowner returned home and reported that no items were missing. Deputies believe the burglars were scared off by the alarm.
